PLAIN WEAVE

It seems as though weaving has become the blogger hobby du jour and I'm the latest to hop on the bandwagon. This towel was my first project after a sample towel and although it's almost completely done in plain weave, I keep peering at it up close to marvel at the fact that I made fabric with thread. Kind of a similar (but distinct) feeling to knitting.

May I say that I love that your blog has evolved and always integrity and authenticity in its evolution. You are truly genuine in your tastes and posts, and amidst a sea of contrived or shallow blogs, yours elicits personality and modesty!

Ps. The towel is beautiful!!!

I'm really not a fan of knitting, so not entirely sure I would have the patience for this but it sure does look epic for your first attempt!

how did you weave it? on what?

Ivana - about 9 hours not including setting up the loom/measuring the thread/etc! time on the loom flies by.

Danielle - it was woven on a small floor loom
