A few weeks ago I did a quick closet visit with Portland Supply Co. These two outfits have been my mainstays this winter. Easy and comfortable. Like Cathy Horyn says, "there's a surprising amount of harmony in unremarkable choices.".

A few weeks ago, Joanna and Paul hosted a small pizza party potluck. We each brought a few ingredients and together made several very delicious pizzas. Even Toby got in on the action!

In case the fact that I wore all white and mostly silk didn't tip you off, let me tell you that I was woefully unprepared for this three hour hike to Angel's Rest last weekend. This photo adequately conveys how I felt at every point in between the parking lot and the summit, although a little boy we passed on the way down best epitomized my feelings when he petulantly (and sweatily) told his father, "We're not going hiking again for one year!!"

BASIC BLACK

A few days ago, I quickly put together a basic tote bag to refresh my sewing skills for a couple sewing projects I've been meaning to get to (for like, a year). I think I got the proportions about right, but it could still use a little tweaking. Even so, I'm always surprised and thrilled by the high of filling a functional void by making something useable for myself. Joy in the small things. And of course, all done with a little help from resident napping dog, Toby.

MEET TOBY

Been hanging out with this lil' jerk a lot lately. I've been fostering him for the past month but got way too attached to say goodbye. Officially mine as of last week.
