Even though I'm taking a relatively manageable course load this term and finals week is turning out to be completely harmless, it's still difficult to remain actively creative when most of your time is tied up in reading articles, doing fieldwork and learning a new language. As much as I love school, I miss making things, so recently I picked up an old knitting project just to keep from feeling creatively stagnant. I think I started this scarf back in March, but had only made a couple inches worth of progress. The best thing about knitting is that I can put a project down and pick it up again whenever my hands get antsy.

Wow that looks great! I used to knit all the time and even had my own etsy shop, but then I got carpal tunnel so I can't do it anymore : (
What language are you learning? :)
I wish I knew how to knit

hot scarf, wish i had more patience for knitting
It is hard to find creative energy when you are busy but look at you go! Impressive : )
That looks amazing! As hard as I try I can't seem to knit anything good
I love knitted garments but it takes too long. Last winter I knitted a scarf for me and it took me one month to do it. Although the satisfaction you get when you finish it it's totally worth it.
Thanks for your sharing, it's a good post, keep going and support you.
Eeeek! You're back. I don't know if I imagined you had a fantastical blog a few years back, or if I became internet-dumb and forgot how to bookmark shit, but here you are again. Turn that knit into a crazy overly large, and engulfing scarf. Chic bomb.
P.S. You probably mentioned this already, but where are your old posts? I miss them!
ah that looks super cozy. i'm in the process of making a ribbed scarf for a friend. i like how wide yours is though.
It looks so nice! Really impressed that you could keep on knitting a scarf, I've tried but it seems like an endless project. Yours make my fingers itch, though, it looks really cosy!
adoring this scarf! amazing, i could never do this!
