saturday

I spent Saturday roaming around downtown with my friend Sarah doing a little shopping and nomming on McDonalds shakes.
All in all a good day. Shout out to the girl who spotted me on the escalators in Nordstrom. :)

ps. New batch of things up on Shop Childhood Flames.

wang & faux leather

t by alexander wang tank, silence & noise pants
Apologies for the lackluster blog posts as of late. I haven't been feeling all that inspired and with the recent beautiful weather (although the temperatures have dropped a bit) I've been spending less time on the internet and more time out and about. And well, when I am online I'm usually having a Criminal Minds marathon (part of my creepy crush on Matthew Gray Gubler... heh) while eating ice cream.

Anyway, got both of these items in the mail today. I bought these pants online after seeing them on Miss Divinitus and besides being a pain to get over my feet, they're kind of amazing. And I finally caved to the Alexander Wang machine by buying this tank. Love the cut.

ps. I'm featured along with Susie, Rumi and Karla in the newest issue of Anthem magazine. Click to see the feature in full size.

New shoes from Etsy and a new DIY project. I'll post better photos when it's complete.

Danny of Igor + Andre drew a photo of me! If you haven't heard of him yet, go take a look at his blog- he is incredibly talented. He has a whole drawing series of bloggers, check it out here.

jean seberg

I'm selling some things that don't get enough love from me at Shop Childhood Flames. I'll be updating it with a lot more things in the next week.

ps. I know this isn't Jean Seberg herself, it's Christy Turlington in a tribute editorial to Jean. ;)

thrifted mesh top, target maxi dress turned skirt
I decided to put in a little effort into getting dressed this morning. Lately I've been reverting to whatever is easiest and most comfortable. While this outfit is still both of those things, it at least looks a little dressier. Unfortunately, Portland weather is reverting back to it's usual dreary self, so if I end up going out today I'll probably throw my Junya over this.

ps. for those of you how wanted to see the cherry blossom photos in larger sizes, check my flickr (you may have to be a member though).

I love how I have a Lara Stone tag. Haha.

cherry blossoms

It's insanely gorgeous out today.

And yes, those are cut-offs and flip flops... When it gets warm out I fail at fashion. Sorry, kids.

I loved the reflection of the cherry blossoms on my iPod.
Don't you love it when you set your iPod to shuffle and it plays the exact songs you want to hear? So perfect.

aa u-neck dress, babooshka boutique skirt, gap shoes
This is what I wore to practice driving and roam around downtown. It was a gorgeous day here in Portland. It's not often we're graced with 70 degree weather in early April. The skirt was part of another package from the lovely Francesca of Babooshka Boutique.

(ignore my chipping nail polish...)
Nothing special today, but these shoes came in the mail so I thought I'd show them off. They're light as a feather and feel just like walking in flats, so thumbs up for comfort.

I also decided to pull out my Pleasure Principle dress which some of you may remember from several months ago. I love the square shape it creates in the back when worn this way. I'm craving lots of new things for summer, but I have to remind myself to go slowly. I want to have an efficient wardrobe without waste so it's time to revisit some pieces that don't get enough wear.

ps. Apologies for being so behind on e-mails. I promise I'm working on it!
