Thinking of lightening things up for spring. (photos from net-a-porter, gap, barneys, saks, la garçonne & seven) Let me know if you have any questions about where each item is from specifically. :)
ETA: Haha I guess I'll just list where everything is from. (from left to right) By Malene Birger grey blouse, Clu henley, Rick Owens longsleeve tee, Rick Owens Lilies blue top, T by Alexander Wang tank, Pleasure Principle sheer tops, Stella Mccartney bodysuit & strapless dress, James Perse tank dress, T by Alexander Wang black tank dress, Ann D sandals (cream strappy & black ones), Balenciaga white heels, Pierre Hardy for Gap white chunky heels, MMM cream flat sandals, Rick Owens Lilies grey pants, Splendid white dc pants, Christopher Kane dress.
I bought this bra at the lovely little lingerie shop, Lille Boutique.
At a vintage shop I tried on a way cool sheer dress that reminded me of the sheer nurse dresses at Louis Vuitton a little while back only in black. Unfortunately it was made for someone with actual breasts so it didn't come home with me.
After shopping, my mom and I ate at Blueplate. Best meal I've had in a while, their chocolate shake is phenomenal. Portlanders, check this place out if you haven't already.
The new Missoni collection blew me away. I dig pastel bag lady.
Photos from last week when I got cupcakes at Cupcake Jones. I figure this makes up for never having the chance to go to Crumbs in New York...
scrap fabric scarf, h&m tank, selfmade dc pants, marni wedges Last night I promised myself that I wouldn't wear sweatpants today and what do you know, I'm wearing the most sweatpant-like pants in my wardrobe. Hehe. Also an update on the Marnis: I will be taking them for a more permanent paint job very soon. The sharpie actually held up surprisingly well in New York, no touch ups needed after three or four wears but they definitely need something more permanent for the long term.
As I was reading the NYT Style Magazine this morning I came across a small write up on a clothing label called No Editions. The coat Nicole Lachelle was wearing in the photograph immediately caught my attention and I quickly ran to my computer, magazine in hand, to look up this brand I had never heard of. After clicking around their website for just a minute I was amazed.
I'm not the best with words so I'll let the photos do the talking. About No Editions: 'no editions _ no duplicates _ no repetitions men's and women's clothing, accessories and other objects
Every item, style or object presented under the 'no editions' name is produced only once with a unique print design or other decoration.
Each design or item is part of an online archive -- once an item is sold or otherwise becomes unavailable it is marked - not available - but it remains visible as part of the online series and archive.
The individual print designs are created and grouped in series. Each series is listed online with a title, information about the style, material, and the amount of items in this series -- this information is printed on the inside of every item, along with its unique serial number and the ‘no editions’ logo.
The differences between print designs within a series are created and developed based on various artistic, personal, aesthetic or sequential criteria, and are not the result of random manual or mechanical finishing. The differences can be very visible or very subtle, depending on the series.' (all photos from noeditions.com)
I'm in the NYTimes Sunday Styles section! Thanks to all the readers who commented and e-mailed me about it for letting me know. Bill Cunningham is perhaps the cutest old man in the world- I just about died when I saw him photographing me and Helen. It's in the paper, but you can also see it here on his video blog.
Sorry for the lack of outfit posts. I've been all about comfort since returning from New York. Seriously, I've been wearing my Zara pajama pants for three days straight...
How do you ladies and gents feel about more food photos? In my opinion, food porn > shoe porn but I don't want to bombard you guys with food photos (since this is a fashion blog and all). Also on food, a reader showed me This Is Why You're Fat. Hilarious, disgusting, but some of it actually makes my mouth water.
Me and Kate Lanphear. I look like a turtle, but whatever. I melted in to a fangirling puddle of goo shortly after this photo was taken. She is beyond sweet.
(click the photo to see where our clothes are from) On my last day in NYC I was shot by Craig of Altamira with Naomi and Elana. Excuse my overgrown bangs. I forgot to trim them before I left...
My eyes locked onto these as soon as I walked into Ohne Titel (which by the way, was fantastic). Claire thought I had spotted someone famous but I was just freaking out over macaroons... Hehe.
My bbgirl LaurelWERKING IT at Vena Cava and Jeremy Laing. So proud of you, darling!

(tFS) So New York is complete madness. I'm running around like a chicken with its head cut off at the moment running on no sleep and energy bars but I'm loving every minute of it. Crazy stuff. I probably won't have the chance to fully fill you guys in on my trip until I get back but I just thought I'd pop in and say hello. Also, a huge shout out to everyone who has recognized me and said hello. Apologies for being terribly awkward in person but I definitely appreciate you guys reading the blog and it's so fantastic to meet some of my readers! You are all so lovely!
Also: Victor de Souza coverage on TeenUgly. I'll be updating TeenUgly with more show coverage for the rest of my trip so stay tuned!
Day 1 We arrived at our hotel at about 3 on Thursday and after picking up my press credentials at Bryant Park and wandering around Times Square a bit I set off to my first show! Victor de Souza. I'll be posting coverage of the show soon on TeenUgly. I went with Claire and Lily, two other Chictopia interns and afterwards went to dinner with Helen, Lily, and Helen's friend (whose name I can't seem to recall, sorry!) at this amazing ramen place. Claire and Lily looking super cute.
At the restaurant. Helen's lychee martini. I had apple juice... My noodle salad. Helen's ramen looked delicious. All done! Mmmm... food porn. :P
