Palahniuk is the best! I think my favorite quote from this book is "The one you love and the one who loves you are never, ever the same person." Every line he writes is quotable though...

The quote applies to everyone. Can you dare to say you're original? That you dont have to get inspirations from elsewhere for your dressing etc? I dont think so. :)

Even the goth and emo kids who dress to be 'different' are, in essence, following a prescribed formula - and one that makes them even less original for thinking that dressing in that way makes them unique. EVERYONE wears black.

why are people so ridiculous? The quote says that "Nothing of me is original" not "I am a nobody". Obviously some people can't read.
We are all a product of our environment and the things we see around us. That includes fashion. I love this quote because it gives credit where credit is due.
If you're going to leave snide remarks, at least have the decency of not being anonymous....geesh...

The quotation is very right indeed! I can relate to that entirely. Another one by someone anonymous goes something like this: "Originality is just a skill of hiding your sources (and inspiration)". There is great wisdom here. And you know what people? It's okay.
