oops

so blogging has kind of been the last thing on my mind lately. class, homework, friends and sewing
have been taking up all of my time and i'm exhausted. i'll try to put together a couple more posts before the week is through (some more skirts in the store this weekend too), but come monday i will be volunteering at another kids camp (i've got one last one in august aswell) until friday. so don't expect any blogging to go on that week.

anyway, my agenda tomorrow includes checking out the nordstroms anniversary sale and attempting a video post (borrowing the idea from miss laurel), so keep an eye out for those posts. also, ask me any questions you have for me, it'll give me some material for the vid. until then! :)

Yay! I hope you have fun at the anniversary sale!

Questions

1) Your biggest splurge
2) What size clothing do you wear
3) How often do you go shopping (browsing, and then actually purchasing something)
4) What pieces of clothing do you think is essential in everyone's clothes? What are your essentials?
5) Least favourite clothes and trends

Hmm...
what got you interested in fashion/sewing clothes?
what are your favorite items of clothing?
any interesting stories connected to a piece of clothing or outfit?

How long have you been sewing?
What are your tips for people who want to learn to try how to sew?

Describe your worst outfit ever (it doesn't matter how old you were when you wore it).

I know it's silly, but I'd like to see more of Jem, the bearded dragon! :)

On a more fashion-related note, I'd like to see the sewing process and shoes!

By the way, I'd like to comment that I got inspired by your using a chain as a headband and decided to make a headband with chain details.

Being fifteen myself, I must say I'm very impressed with your style. I wish I could wear a lot of the things you do, however, being that I go to a public school and that sophisticated clothing and such is hard to come by (and to afford), I could never do it.
So in a way, I thank you for demonstrating that the common stereotype for teenage girls is often misleading. (haha :D)

So, does the fact that you do not attend a regular high school allow for more options into what you wear, or do you think that if you had average schooling it would limit what you would wear in terms of "sophisticated-ness" (because a lot of the times, high schoolers dress to conform with a certain clique.) ?

And why, or rather, what inspires you to dress this way? Is your style based on an icon(s), something in a magazine, something you saw in a store that just seemed right, etc. ?

Thank you :)

EDIT:
(I have a tendency to have trouble getting my point across, resulting in long comments. Sorry :) )

Ohhh... I agree with anonymous, can you please give us a tour of your closet? =)

Niomi said...

Yes a tour of your closet would be completely stellar! I confess, I'm a silent reader, but I was also hoping you'd might give a try at my questions as well.

1. Are you an organized person? (weird question, apologies..)
2. What is your favorite color(s)?
3. How you do stay fit? Exercise? Diet?
4. Any college plans? Major? Location? etc...

Thanks plenty!

Cheers from London!

I'm loving all of this video blogging that's going on at the moment. It always surprises me when a blogger sounds totally different to how I expected and it's so nice to see a bit more of everybody's character, something that can't really be put across by a still image.

Can't wait to see yours!

Anniversary sale! AHH! Exciting. I hope you have an amazing time at the camp, too. I think it's really wonderful that you spend your time at these summer camps, shows a lot about your character.

Can't wait for the video post, bb! I always struggle trying to find material to talk about, then end up babbling on about random stuff. You should just do an intro-vlog about yourself and who you are, what inspires you, important things in your life, etc - just to segway into a second, third...

Hope you're well, love

When and how did you learn to walk in such amazing heels?
I've always wanted to wear shoes like yours, but I always thought I would look silly in them and that they wouldn't be practical.
Do you actually wear heels as often as you post outfits of you in them?

There you are!

Tear that sale up! I should head over to the mall...I can feel my compulsive buying juices flowing.

VIDEO POSTS ARE EXCITING!

Question: How much money do you think you spend in two weeks on clothes and DIY projects?

are you seriously asking for detailed sewing videos/tips for the skirts camille makes?! ummm.. camille's skirts are insanely simple to make (part of their charm i think!). like as simple as you could possibly get. you don't need a freakin detailed VIDEO for heaven's sake, that's like asking for a detailed video on making a sandwich. seriously just read her tutorial- she tells you every little thing you need to know to make one!
and camille, thanks for the tutorial! <3

love your blog

Lily I think you need to understand what may be simple for someone LIKE YOU is difficult for someone else. instead of making someone else feel bad if you have nothing nice to say do not say it at all no one needs to read that P.S I think Camille is aware some people find making the skirts difficult as it was made bloody evident on her tutorial where if you read correctly I believe people wrote things along the lines of "great skirt Camille only wish I understood / knew how to make one”
Maybe that is why SHE IS SELLING THEM ever thought of that? Gosh what is wrong with people these days RUDE.
