You wear those Docs perfectly! Now I've got the Alexi Sayle song in my head "They're classless, matchless, waterproof and retail for only 19 pounds and 99 p".
this might sound creepy esp. since i'm posting as anonymous but thats because i don't have a journal...but how tall are you? It seems like you can pull off really bland outfits just like models can pull off a paperbag or something.
omg! I have wanted Dr. Martens for a while now. I just can't figure out how to wear them. I love how you make a simple outfit pop with them on. It doesn't look like you try hard at all. Another hit.
i find it hilarious that docs are all the rage now. several kids, including myself, had a pair of these when i was in middle school. i sold mine at a yard sale years ago because i grew out of them. now they're in fashion ads everywhere. i knew it was only a matter of time before they brought the 90s back. i have nothing against the boots; i loved mine dearly and wore them with everything. i just can't help but find it really silly when the fashion world can't come up with anything better and has to resort to common items from the past, put them on familiar models, and make every fashionista go nuts over it.
i should have kept mine. a 'vintage' pair would sell for a small mint on ebay right now, perhaps.
emily - i agree, it is. i'm just saying that i would have liked a 'new' or different approach on the old doc marten. i'm sure they have new colors and styles and such, and that's cool. i just find trends annoying. they come and go so quickly. they could put a paper bag on a model in fashion mag and every girl would immediately run out and buy one. and it would probably be a 100-dollar paper bag, just because it's 'in'.
I bought my first pair (i have the same one as you) late last year. It was a bit painful to begin with but now its just amazing. You rock it well, once again!
i started reading your blog in early March but never really commented. i love watching out for your entries where you post photos of what you wore. and i can't believe you're only 15. (: great style. adore your shoes especially.

maybe this has been said before, but you remind me a bit of the punk Nana in the manga 'Nana' especially with this outfit!

I hate dr. martens, but they look great on you! :D
Perfect combination of dark tights, denim cut offs and DM's. Extremely stylish and you have great legs too.
